Liao Dunming: Male, Born in 1973, Professor, Doctoral supervisor, Doctor of engineering. The director of teaching and research section of processing department. Selected to ministry of education’s Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University (NCET). Once studied in Harvard University and University of Wisconsin as a visiting scholar.

Academic Degrees

The numerical simulation researches of casting process including the stress-field numerical simulation of casting process and the CAD secondary development of casting technology, The simulation of hot-compaction process of carbon-fiber reinforced resin matrix composites, The simulation of the formation of C/C composites, and the CAD secondary development of mould based on UG.

Awards and Honors

  • As the key research staff, has successfully developed the simulation software InteCAST which is the most widespread simulation software applied in the inland foundry industry. InteCAST has been applied in about 600 companies, universities and colleges, and it has been sold to Malaysia and Thailand to be the first casting simulation software sold abroad.
  • As the person in charge, has developed the 2D-HZCAD system based on AutoCAD and the intelligentized 3D-CAD system of foundry technology, which can provide the intelligentized foundry technology, generate the 3D foundry technology and realize the e-design of foundry technology.
  • As the programs’ person in charge, has assumed the National Natural Science Foundation, the subtopic of Major Program of National High-grade CNC Machine Tool, National Defense Program, Scientific Research Foundation for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars, State Education Ministry, Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province, numerous lateral topics and so on. And has published more than 100 papers and co-authored five textbooks and books.
  • Has won the Second Prize of State Scientific and Technological Progress in 2007, the First Prize of Hubei Province Scientific and Technological Progress in 2006 and the Second Prize of Hubei Province Extended Science and Technology Application in 2001.
