SHI Yusheng, male, born in 1962, Secretary of the party general branch of College of Materials Science & Engineering (HUST), Deputy of Advanced forming technology and equipment engineering laboratory of Hubei province, Co-chairman of China 3D printing technology Industry Alliance, The executive director of Non-Traditional Machining of China, Vice director of China Rapid prototyping Committee, Chairman of 3D printing technology Industry Alliance of Hubei province, Chairman of Hubei Aeronautical Society, Vice chairman of World 3D Printing Technology Industry Alliance.

He has successively published more than 200 academic papers in domestic and international professional journal. He has made invited speak and keynote talks over 20 times both in China and abroad, edited and published 4 monographs and textbooks. He is now in charge of over 20 research projects including State science and technology support program, 02/04 State key scientific research programs, National 863 project, National Science Foundation project, and International cooperative program, etc. He has won the title of “2011 China's top ten scientific and technological progress”. 1 project approved by the second prize of State technological invention award and 1 won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress award. 3 projects won the first level awards of Province and Ministry and 3 projects won the second level awards of Province and Ministry. Meanwhile, he has acquired more than 30 invention patents and applied in industrial production. Because of his academic and industrial achievements, he has won a number of honorary titles. Such as: 2009 China invention & entrepreneurship prize and honorable title of contemporary inventor, 2012 top ten national excellent science and technology workers, 2012 national government special allowance, 2011 China ten outstanding figures of science innovation, 2012 China's manufacturing industry top ten innovative characters, 2014 World 3D Printing Industry Outstanding Contributor. His research result has been made into science education film twice by CCTV and broad casted many times. He was invited by CCTV and people.com.cn as guest speaker of top interview program. One Doctoral thesis under his guidance was selected to the National Excellent Dissertation nomination paper. Five of his PhD students are the reward-gainers of the excellent doctoral dissertations in Hubei province, and three master students won the excellent master dissertations in Hubei province under his guidance.
