A academic delegation group of four people from University of Huddersfield, accompanied by Foreign Affairs officers, visited school of Materials Science and Engineering at around 10 a.m. on September 9th, 2014.
The delegation consists of four members: the University of Huddersfield International Affairs Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dave Taylor, School of Computing and Engineering Prof Stephen Donnelly, director Professor Jiang Xiangqian of UK EPSRC National Centre in Advanced Metrology and the China office chief Peter Chen.
Materials Science and Engineering Dean Professor Huang Yunhui, Member of National One Thousand Talents Program Professor Guo Xin, Recruitment Program of Global Youth Expert Jiang Kai, Professor Han Jiantao, Professor Zhou Jianxin, Professor Hu Xianluo and related research group representatives attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the two sides presented their field of research and the current focus direction, deeply discussed the areas of possible collaboration. Professor Jiang Xiangqian, our school alumni and Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, gave a high rating for the current research and the composition and quality of the research team of school of Materials Science and Engineering, he hoped to deepen cooperation in scientific research and student exchanges soon.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the 3D printing rapid manufacturing center laboratory of Material Forming and Mold State Key Laboratory.
